Yea, I believe that the ppl RESPONSIBLE for the bombing in Sultan park should be severely punished. But then again a part of me keeps saying that the event had nothing to do with himandhoo. A part of me kept saying that there was sumthing fishy with the whole bombing. Heres what I mean.
Everyone knows that there are cameras there. That’s a knowledge even children know. So when a group of ppl who had thought up well for such an attack would obviously put that into consideration right? (unless they don’t have a brain at all that is). And its not like this plan was carried out by just one or two ppl. Don’t tell me that ALL of them jes FORGOT abt the cameras there. And that neither of them even SAW the more than obvious camera that was pointed at the entrance of Sultan Park. And even when the dude came back to detonate the bomb why in the world would he stay so near to the bomb and EXACTLY in the middle of the view of the camera??? He jes detonated it and raced off. If he had stayed ANYWHERE except in that position it would’ve been a lot more desirable and more to his advantage. He could’ve even stayed near the Mosque or on the opposite side. But NO! He jes HAD to be at that exact position. If u ask me its jes damn fishy.
Even the sim bit, he could’ve dropped it into the ocean during the ferry to the airport. Plus he could’ve done so much more to the sim than jes bend it in half and drop it off there of all places. Even at the airport how did the police know to apprehend HIM of all ppl?
This event has also given a reason as to eliminate the threat in Himandhoo. A reason to give unlimited power to do as they please towards this threat and handle it in anyway they wanted to with no Questions asked. And it would also give them more power to do as they please in the upcoming ‘threats’ against them.
Then lets see who has benefitted the most from this attack. Hmmm…im going into hot water here huh? Ok , ill stop right here. But damn this is the most interesting part too. ok ok. Ill jes tell this much. Look back about 1.5months before the bombing and see how the news is progressing. See the Huge declination in something. The more than obvious declination that was never able to stay put. But the moment the bombing happened see the difference. And do some research on the benefactors of the bombing. Ill leave it there. the rest figure out on ur own. cant spoon feed everything u know.
Either the investigation team is better than any other team in the world or the ppl commiting crimes are the dumbest ppl on the phase of this planet OR…(ill leave this part to ur imagination). And even if it was the himandhoo ppl or some religious sect or whatever im sure they could’ve found better ppl than a couple of tourists to attack in order to try and quench their anger. Well, I dunno what they were thinking or how such minds work but to me the whole thing is just too damn fishy. Well, whomever it was who did the bombing, that was one cowardly stupid inhuman thing they did. But then again they would’ve known that even before doing it.
P.S- Watch the movie “Farenheit 9/11”. An awesome movie that’s worth watching. *whistle whistle*

sorry but i can't agree with you. the cameras were not very useful in the investigation. the people were arrested based on forensic evidence and mobile technology. once the culprits were identified it was easy to see them entering the park from the camera footage. the guy was near the park when he set the bomb off because he can see the tourists go out, and set the bomb at the precise moment, and making maximum damage. as for the phone thrown into Hulhule lagoon, the police came to know about it only after arresting that guy. why didnt he throw it into sea? because he was stupid. the terrorists were stupid to think that the police wouldn't be able to track mobile phone calls and sims. because of their stupidness they left many evidence, and it didn't take much time for police to find them. not because the police is exceptionally smart.

but i cant agree this time.ofcourse the government had the advantage...but this is not USA we depend on tourism. most of the government and even MDP seniors are capitalist class elites who wouldnt dare to do any thing like that.and the extremists are dumb (why else would they be like that?)....they might forget the camera. and even if they see.. they wont fear it..becoz only allah has to be feared. and they have plans to leave maldives... and maybe this was kinda suicide mission..taking that risk on purpose... what ever the case is.. i know these people very well and i know and believe it is them!
