Hand Wash Gel

I was recently in Lanka. I stayed with a friend and her mom for the last 2days there. My friend introduced me to some hand wash bottle. Said that it was 99.9% hygienic and was used to apply on the hands before eating to wash em.

I asked her why cant we just use water to wash our hands before eating? She replied saying that water wasn’t always available when we are eating out. I told her that then there would be something called fork, spoon and knives available then. She still protested saying that sometimes even those wont be available and gave me the bottle to test it on my hands.

Anyone of u ever use ‘Bonjela’? well, its something like that. I put it on my hands and rubbed it on both. And there I was clenching my fingers and making a disgusted face as it seemed sticky on my hands. I told her that there was no way I was gonna eat ANYTHING from these hands now WITHOUT washing it all off. Else it would jes feel weird.

Then I slowly put my tongue on my hand and tasted it, to which she was all shocked and went “Eughhhh! Ur not supposed to do that. That’s jes so yucky!”. I was thrown back in shock ofcourse. “so ur telling me that its wrong to put this stuff on my tongue even to taste it but its all right to rub it on both hands and then put those hands in food and eat that food?????”. Seriously, whats up with that? Hama keumuge kurin ai dhonnan masakkathakah hadhaafa oi echchekey. Ppl will come up with jes anything these days. Its like there’s a gel and cream for every inch of the body. We are so artificial nowadays.

Maldivian Animal Farm

Was talkin with an uncle of mine(politician) and he told us a short story

Once upon a time a man Ameen decided to do something about the land he was on. So he removed all the shrubs and other weeds. then he leveled the ground and dug some holes. he was stopped there and murdered.

Then came a man Nasir onto that land. He saw the dug up holes and put seeds into them. Then he watered em and made the trees grow strong and useful. thats when he too was removed from the land.

Then came Golhaa. when he arrived the trees had started to bear flowers and fruits. the ppl of that land had never seen or tasted fruits. theyve never smelled flowers either. so Golhaa gave them a taste from one fruit and let them smell one flower. he then took the whole rest for himself and his fellow mates. the Maldivians were overjoyed cos they got to taste and smell such wonderful stuff that they soon unknowingly had begun worshipping Golhaa.

Thats when we were interrupted by 'faloodha' and soon the story faded away. sigh. hehe. but boy he told soooo many stories. will post it next. bit bsy atm.

Every me and Every you

Sucker love is heaven sent.
You pucker up, our passions spent.
My hearts a tart, your bodys rent.
My bodys broken, yours is spent.

Carve your name into my arm.
Instead of stressed, I lie here charmed.
Cuz theres nothing else to do,
Every me and every you.

Sucker love, a box I choose.
No other box I choose to use.
Another love I would abuse,
No circumstances could excuse.

In the shape of things to come.
Too much poison come undone.
Cuz theres nothing else to do,
Every me and every you.
Every me and every you,
Every me...he

Sucker love is known to swing.
Prone to cling and waste these things.
Pucker up for heavens sake.
Theres never been so much at stake.

I serve my head up on a plate.
Its only comfort, calling late.
Cuz theres nothing else to do,
Every me and every you.

Like the naked leads the blind.
I know Im selfish, Im unkind.
Sucker love I always find,
Someone to bruise and leave behind.

All alone in space and time.
Theres nothing here but what heres mine.
Something borrowed, something blue.
Every me and every you.
Every me and every you,
Every me...he

RIPPED APART!

I feel like shit. was made to feel that way n its working actually. feel sad, depressed, tired, disgusted, sick of myself, pathetic, helpless, restless. so many feelings put together. and i even know why. still amazed that it struck this hard. like nothing u do is good enough. its never enough even if u take it bit by bit. as if the intention was to shut u down from the beginning.

That everything was a lie. every compliment, gift, laugh, polite gesture or even a smile. that everything u said, did, ur kindness, patience, all the efforts to be there whenever ur needed, all of it was jes disregarded and forgotten. that it didnt mean shit in the end. And it was obvious that if it was any other person, they wouldve cracked and done terrible things after being sick of it all. and since i didnt stoop that low, that was the problem which was taken. the complain which was complained.

All cos of sumthing which wasnt even ur fault. but still u were the one to suffer for it all. Even after that u were put thru tests one after the other each one getting harder and made to choose from the most difficult of choices. when u did the right thing and came thru, u find that it didnt matter which choices u made or what u did. it all came down to the same end. that at the end u were forced into jes one thing. the thing uve been trying and fighting so hard to avoid for over a year. that it was all a waste. the feeling of being used over n over again jes cos u kept doing the right thing??? that u were hated over n over again for that? oh wait. not HATE. jes made sick to the stomach to see u, hear u or even see a txt msg from u.lol. i guess we need to re-define the word 'hate'.

Maybe this is the point where i go to the toilet, close my eyes, clench my fists and scream at the top of my voice "PEEEEKAAAAAACHOOOOOOOOOO". heheh. here's the story behind it.

A small boy went to read quran to a teacher. the teacher kept correcting him over n over again. he said he needed to go to the toilet after a while. soon the teacher herd the scream "peeekaachoooo". soon afterwards the little boy came back with a smile on his face. when he was asked what happened, he said that in a cartoon he watched they said that it would help ur anger if u did that. and that it really worked.hehe.

Hmmmm, so this must be what dad felt like few weeks back with the whole 'sis' thing.

'Life lived for others is a life worth living'?

thanx to aisha for this. she asked me the above question.

It got me thinking and that usually doesnt go well.hehe. im realy not so sure abt the above statement anymore. i used to really believe in that. then after the past years i look back and what do i see? ppl who didnt give a shit, ppl whom unintentionally took advantage of it, and ppl hu deliberately did.

a very simple example. one day i was lied to about sumthin big and was kept on being lied to about it. when i found out it was like "its no big deal right? u dont even know how to get mad dho? so i didnt think it was a problem". its not much i guess but i jes HATE being lied to.

A friend once did tell me "ur being too nice. jes stand up for once and start thinking about urself". she gave a HUGE lecture.heheh. she's right i guess.

And there's been a complain like " whats wrong with u? ur supposed to HATE me after all thats happend. u seriously need help". Y? cos i believed that she could stop doing all those bad things and change after all the stuff she did? maybe im weird. but then again, thats me. i need to change i guess. then again ive met some really wonderful ppl. i know i know. i shouldnt change the way i am jes becos i met some ppl hu's said stuff like that. but what if its someone whom u really believed in. someone who knew everything about u and was the one person whom u thote would be different. lol. toldya its bad when i think.hehe.

the thing that came to me was 'never trust or believe in anyone too much'. the words have got meaning to it and it is right u know. it dusnt necessarily mean not to trust ppl but it means not to eliminate the thought that it might turn out bad. and that it will be different. there's only been a few cases in which it went bad. and the funny part is, when it goes bad, it goes really bad.

Ever been in a situation where a problem arose that wasnt ur fault but u were the one to suffer badly for it? the one who made u suffer knew that it wasnt ur fault too. i was SUPPOSED to hate that person and never speak to that person ever again. jes like that in an instance. forced to make that decision. what would u do? throw that over one year frindship away jes like that for something u werent to blame for? jes say that person didnt deserve my friendship after forgetting all the wonderful memories that were shared? wouldnt THAT make me an aweful person? especially if that person was the closest friend u had?

I believe that ppl make mistakes all the time. sometimes those mistakes are really huge and considered unforgivable. but everyone deserves a second chance. even if ur the one who has to suffer for it jes to get that friend back. what would u do? jes listen to that person and walk away? but then again wouldnt that mean that the friendship u shared didnt mean anything and wasnt half as strong as u thought it to be? should that make a difference?

P.S- dont worry, i wont change jes cos some shit happened in the past. i am hu i am. but some minor things need to be changed.hehe. and yea, aish. life lived for others is a life worth living. it might not always go as planned but in the end itll all be worth it. if not in this life then the next. hmmm, after reading the above, no wonder i love the lyrics to 'morning theft'.lol.hehe

Maliku

Back when i was on the ship, there were 3 'Maliku' ppl there. do we call them 'malikees'? or maybe 'malikians'??(some help here?). they speak good divehi too. nice ppl. but theres some interesting stuff. for example if they say these words "ma thigeyah gos beyruga bootu bahattaafa thigeyah vadhe theenayaa kudakoh vaahaka dhakkaalan beynun". they say "ma thigeyah gos beyruga soo baavvaafa thigeyah vadhe theenayaa kudakoh moshelan beynun". seriously. believe it. else u can jes ask one of em ;).and yea, for leanne and zac, at fist i said that maldivians would say "i wanna go to ur place, keep my shoes outside, go inside ur house and have a small talk/chat with u". but when they say it with the same meaning, to us its like "i wanna go to ur place, keep my dick outside, go inside and have a lil makeout/sex with u". one guy actually said that to his maldivian friend's wife. jes imagine the suspense and the shock on the wife's face.heheh. thank god the husband was understanding and a real friend. else jes imagine what wouldve happened.lol

Morning Theft

Time takes care of the wound, so I can believe.
You had so much to give, you thought I couldn't see.
Gifts for boot heels to crush, promises deceived
I had to send it away to bring us back again.
Your eyes and body brighten silent waters, deep.
Your precious daughter in the other room, asleep.
A kiss "Goodnight" from every stranger that I meet.
I had to send it away to bring us back again.
Morning theft, and pretender left, ungrateful.
True Self is what brought you here, to me.
A place where we can accept this love.
Friendship battered down by useless history,
Unexamined failure.
What am I still to you?
Some thief who stole from you?
Or some fool drama queen whose chances were few?
That brings us to who we need,
a place where we can save
A heart that beats as both siphon and reservoir.
You're a woman, I'm a calf.
You're a window, I'm a knife.
We come together making chance into starlight.
Meet me tomorrow night, or any day you want.
I have no right to wonder just how, or when.
And though the meaning fits, there's no relief in this.
I miss my beautiful friend.
I had to send it away to bring her back again

Is our education standard getting better?

I remember attending to the O'L top ten ceremony 2yrs ago snce my sis was one of the proud many. if i remember correctly there were 132 students who got chosen for the top TEN. The education minister came up to give his speech and he was showing a slideshow to everyone as he walked through his speech. He was telling everyone that new schools had participated all throughout the islands and that 100s more students had done o'ls from schools such as Majeedhiyya, ameeniyya etc. All compared to the previous year.

What he said next shocked me. he said that the current year there were about 30 students or so more in the top 10 list and that it was a gr8 achievement and sumthing which showed that students of maldives had vastly improved. that the education ministry was doing such a gr8 job and what a HUGE success it was. everyone started clapping with huge smiles on their faces. i looked around the hall and thought to myself "WTF??!!"

ill give a small example. its like last year 100 students participated and 20 students were among the top 10. and this year 500 students participated and 30 students were among the top ten. that this was a HUGE improvement. ??????!!!!!! How can that be called improvement? it was more than obvious that its a huge decline in their education.

I have a cousin bro anee, about 5yrs older than me who is a genius. He got second place from the whole country in his O’Ls with 11A’s, 4B’s and 1C. He studied all three streams, more than half the subjects without any tutoring and schooling since we can study jes 1 stream at school. These were the times when the much tougher London exams were conducted and an 8A would probably land u as 10th place in the top 10s. He also got best all round from Majeedhiyya. Afterwards he once again got second place from the whole country in his A’Ls with 4As and 2Bs(islam and dhiv excluded). those were the days when students could show jes how good they were. there werent limited. but what happened next?

Soon students werent allowed to do more than 8 subjects. then again they changed from London to the much easier cambridge. This is the point where most of u would disagree with me saying that cambridge aint easy. All throughout the time when London was done, there was only one person who got 8A's....AFTER students were limited to 8subjects.the instant the system was changed to cambridge there were 4 students who got 8A's. I wont believe for once that Maldivian students got a hell lot brighter than all the previous years(those years where students did twice more subjects and scored excellent grades) in jes one year. the exams jes got easier

even A'Ls, when we did it the subject maths had P1, P2, P3 and M1, M2 and M3. students started failing in maths more than other subjects. And jes like that sumthing new happened. M3 was excluded from the syllabus. and that was the toughest paper. Now its C1, C2, C3 and C4 instead of all the Ps. those 3 papers were extended to four papers. the topics were the same. and now it is claimed again that students have gotten better results in maths. vats up with that? anyone pls care to clear this doubt for me.....if this is indeed a mistake in my views?

Y did the prophet(pbuh)have more than 4 wives? And whats so gr8 abt heaven?

thought i'd write this post to answer some of ur Qs. im jes writing what ive known and heard k? it might not be a 100% accurate

In light of the first comment i received, i jes wanna say what ur about to read is religous. so be warned.hehe.

To answer the Q u asked about why we cant have 11 wives anymore, heres what i heard maa.there are some things that were special to our prophet (pbuh). for example it was a MUST for the prophet (pbuh) to do 'dhamu namaadhu' whereas, for us it isnt. and almost all the wives were taken for a specific reason under god's order. there was a wife who was 90years old, one wife who had lots of children to look after and many who's husbands died(shaheedh) at war. the prophet (pbuh) never did anything that wasnt according to god's command.

There was this one time when a blind man asked the prophet (pbuh) if he could pray at home without going to the mosque for every prayer since he was blind. the prophet(pbuh) replied "yes", and as the blind man walked away he was immediately summoned back and asked "do u hear the prayer call?". when he replied that he could, he was told that then he should go to the mosque and that blindness wasnt an excuse. It is said that the angel gabriel passed god's orders onto the prophet as soon as the prophet first replied "yes", meaning nothing the prophet did or said was to his own accord. And it was during prophet's (pbuh) time when men were ordered or limited to 4 wives since god knows best. and we cant compare ourselves to the prophet(pbuh) obviously.

And the one about heaven, in heaven all the food and drinks are 100% pure. usually our body absorbs all it needs to and excretes the useless junk through sweat, piss and shit.heheh. but in heaven we dont have to do any of those. god created us all and knows us best. our desires, wants, everything. heaven is a place where we'll feel at peace and a place where every wish comes true. our brains are too limited to comprehend it all. even when drawing a fantasy creature our brain processes those things we've seen and heard and put them all together making something with an ear of sumthing, hair like something else...i think ull get my drift. so even when we are told about hooralleen we jes assume its in some woman form etc.

how do we know that? or how do we know if its a creature we've never seen before at which's sight we'll be filled with comfort ease and pleasure...erhm. erhm. for both sexes. it doesnt necessarilty have to have ears, a nose etc dho? it goes the same for everything else. we are told that heaven is filled with fountains of honey and milk, the ground is covered in pearls etc. and the castles are made of silver and gold beyond our wildest imagination.even those castles and fountains are imagined by us in the form of those we've seen in this world. it dusnt necessarily have to be that way either dho?

Jes see the world we live in now, the miracles we see all around us, the perfectness of the system that god created(not man's system or politics hehe). its all perfect. If god can make this test this perfect, this place thats full of miracles, jes imagine how much more better or perfect heaven(a place of reward) would be. a place that was created for those righteous and faithful ones.In this life we go to some countries and places and think to ourselves 'i wish i could stay here forever', but this world is nowhere near the beauty etc of heaven.

then jes imagine how hell(a place of punishment)would be like. ive heard that even the chains in hell arent wound around ur hands, that they go into ur arse, through ur body and out ur mouth. OUCH!! thats gotta hurt. and its said that the human bbq fire there is alot worse than the fire here in this world. jes hover ur hand even 5cms above a candle flame for a minute. cant dho? jes imagine us being roasted alive slowly till we are burned alive. the minute we die, the cyce starts all over again. and this goes on for years till end. jes how many times will the cycle continue during that time?

Its also said that hell is a journey we have to take. plus the stuff we have to drink its better not said.ooooh. this aint going so smoothly. i think i better stop now.heheh. i jes hope i didnt say nething that was TOO outrageous and hope if i made a mistake in any story i'd be corrected. :) so neways thats what ive heard and known. about it all being 100% accurae or not, i seriously dont know. hehe

Sex in Islam

Special thanx to PHENOL

A leaflet I got from phenol, had some interesting points that I’d like to share with everyone.

• Islam views sex in marriage as sexual reproduction and spiritually joyful activity that strengthens the bond of companionship between the husband and his wife.
• ALL sexual acts performed outside of marriage are forbidden (haram) in Islam.
• Avoiding sexual relations as part of a lifestyle to seek the grace of God is prohibited in Islam, as it is not the natural state of human beings.
• Both spouses must guard the privacy of their intimate relations and must not disclose the details of these relations to others.
• Either spouse SHOULD NOT refuse the other’s requests for sex except for special reasons such as menstruation, sickness or fasting.
• Neither spouse should engage in sexual acts that would be harmful to the other.
• Islam prohibits sexual interceourse during menstrual periods.
• The Qur’an describes such periods as “a discomfort; therefore keep away (from sexual intercourse) during their menstrual periods…
• When they have cleansed theselves then u may approach them in the manner Allah has enjoined for you.[2:222]
• Islam prohibits anal sex as an unnatural practice
• The Prophet (pbuh) was reported to have said, “one who does anal sex has disbelieved in Islam.” [Tirmizi]
• The Qur’an permits all positions of vaginal intercourse.[2:223]
• There is no legal Islamic prohibition against the use of drugs to improve sexual performance provided they do not contain intoxicants or substances harmful to health.
• Both spouses have a responsibility to groom themselves well to remain attractive to each other throughout their married life.
• In islam, one must commence sexual intercourse in a clean physical state.
• It is sunnah to take ablution or wudu if the married couple wish to repeat their sexual intercourse.
• Islam emphasizes foreplay in sexual activity.
• The Prophet (pbuh) advised spouses to begin sexual activity with “words and kisses”, and advised husbands to be sensitive to the feelings of their wives, by saying “Let none of you fall upon his wife like a donkey falls upon a she donkey.” [Daylami]
• Each should also make the effort to satisfy the sexual needs of his/her spouse and not be concerned only with one’s own pleasure.
• A man must not be with a marriageable woman (non-mahram) in a secluded place, as this will provide satan the opportunity to come between them and misguide them into adulterous acts.
• Muslims must direct their sight away from things that will arouse desires and lead them into prohibited sexual acts.[24:30]
• The Prophet (pbuh) was reported to have warned, “The eyes also commit adultery, and their adultery is the lustful look.”[Bukhari]
• Islam strongly encourages early marriage,as it wil remove the need to satisfy sexual urges outside of marriage.

Malay trip or Overnight dhathuru

i need some opinions. heres whats up. i got an invitaion from ELKEN to go to Malaysia for a week. plus 2 days at a 5star hotel with meals and accomodation for the elken manager's meeting. but ill have to pay around half the money for the ticket there. but going to do some business and pretty confident that i can get the ticket money all back. plus ill meet alot of friends from malay during the week and it would be fun. then again i might be a bit busy with the meetings and all to have any real fun. leaving on 16th night. but heres the catch. ive been looking forward to an overnight trip to a deserted island with family and friends. about 50ppl. its kinda like a re-union trip since almost everyone is always in some other country doing studies. but this time alot of ppl are here. its gonna be loads of fun too. if i go to malay for a week, by the time i come back the overnight trip would be over.and ive been looking forward to this overnight thing for so long. ive made up my mind about the choice but wanna hear some opinions about it.

UZUMAKI NARUTO

NARUTOOOO! And a limited edition collector's item at that. they made 2000 pieces total. thats number 300 sumthing. how keul is that. I still havent watched 'chippuden' 18 and 19. they seem to be dragging the episodes. its going so slow. and there was this one episode where they jes talked and talked till the end of the episode. plus sometimes they go like two weeks without releasing an episode. though it IS awesome. loving it.

Japanese are soooo polite and nice

A friend of my dad's who rented our apartment next door, a japanese woman 'Naomi' got married recently. she got married here in the maldives which she says is the best place she has ever visited in her life. and we got the title of the nicest family she had ever met.(giruvaan kolhah jahaafa). She brought her whole family and her husband's family to the maldives to get married in a resort. they held a smaller wedding party here in male' at Salsa royal so that we could attend to it. She was sooo delighted to see us. her whole face suddenly lit up and she ran towards us and gave each of us a huge hug. her whole family came forwards right afterwards and each of them bowed and shook our hands. I felt like a king all throughout that night. plus the food was awesome. varah varah obi. all of them were so polite and friendly.

It made me think, damn maldivians suck like hell. ive been to alot of countries so far including, inia, lanka, malaysia, singapore, thailand, indonesia and australia. but ive never gone to any country that had such impolite and rude ppl than in our country. its a shame. Even when i was in australia i'd meet like strangers all day who would smile when they saw me. some would even come up and shake hands. but here in male', its the opposite. we'd meet childhood friends and former classmates who would pretend they didnt even know u. some wont even smile back even if u do.

naomi's family came over to our place the next day and brought presents for everyone. said that they always do it whenever they go to visit friends. they were sooo thrilled at the exotic food my mom made for them. she was cooking the whole day. the best item of the night was 'garudhiya'. boy i wish i knew how to speak japanese like my dad. then i culd atleast understand them all. all i heard was "kasfhlak kalfjkfal GARUDHIYA al;sfjkasdj alsfjla; ARUF-SAN alkfjala;lkfsj SALEEM-san laksfjalkfgj ARIGATHO GOZAIMAS(means thank u very much) sdklfhsldkf. My mom bought presents for all of them. they were so delighted and went "SUKKEYYYY" meaning "wow" or "amazing". and they kept bowing down repeatedly.

One other thing that amazed them so much was the breadfruit. Mom made breadfruit curry AND breadfrui bondibai. they thought it was awesome that a aweet dish and a hot dish could be made from the same fruit which was so tasty. They loved the food and kept on praising the whole night. We took lots of pictures too. There were like 6 cameras in the living room cos everyone wanted separate pics for themselves. Sigh. im gonna miss Naomi. she'll be leaving in a week.

Looks can be deceiving at times

Just tell me what u've got to say to me
I've been waitin 4 so long to hear the truth
It comes as no surprise at all u see
So cut the crap n tell me we're thru
U dont even know u're being unkind
So much for all ure so called optimistic ways
Playing & fooling around with ppl's hearts
And pretendin to b sorry abt ure actions
It was jes another act afterall
Is it a hobby of urs?
Or an addiction u jes cant deny?
U wrecked my heart out & left me to bleed
& after puttin me thru hell
U might have had an angel smile
But ure head was way up in space
U need to come down to earth
U cant see the world thru a mirror
& u were so innocent lookin
Yet far too poisoned & arrogant
u jes used me up & then walked away
As if nothin had happened
Girl u cant play me that way anymore
Cos now i know what u really are
Now i know ure heart & ure mind
Know that looks really are deceiving

Over MRF100,000 on a wedding?

Why do ppl spend so much on weddings? I really don’t understand the logic of it. Is it all a show-off? Or to invite all those friends and the whole family for the dinner celebrations? Or just to make the occasion memorable? I believe there are others ways to make the day memorable right? U don’t have to spend thousands of Rufiyaa for that. This recent wedding, it cost over MRF100,000. yea, its true its true. So why do you wanna spend that much money in just one day? I’d rather have a small but memorable wedding with family and closest friends. I’d rather spend the rest of the money on buying furniture and for the honeymoon to follow. And the remaining I’d jes save em. Well, I guess if someone else is doing the paying its all right. Like they say “its not coming out of my pocket”. But still, even if our parents are doing all the paying shouldn’t we stop them from doing so? Even if they insist I’d make em spend all that money in some other way. There are lots of ways to spend over MRF100,000 than in just one day on just one dinner right? And would it be considered religiously a waste to spend that much on such an occasion? jes wondering. Not wanting to sound all holy and religious but how about spending like 1/5th of the money on the poor and needy? Would that be such a bad thing. Btw, im not judging ppl who hold huge and expensive wedding parties. Its their money, they can spend it whatever way they find fit. Its jes a thought.

Guys do all the spending

I know this is jes damn silly and stupid but it jes popped into my head and I thought id write something abt it. Afterall, its my blog and I might as well as write nething I want in it. And its my babblings afterall. Guys rarely get any gifts. As we grow up, each year on our b’days we would get loads of presents from everyone and it would be a day we would really look forward to. We’d get all diff kinds and varieties of prezzies. But as we grow up it gets lesser and lesser. Soon we only get them if we hold a party, else we’d get rarely nething. Nowadays ppl jes finish it with jes a msg saying ‘happy b’day’ or a card that’s bought from some shop. Before we used to get personal gifts made from our own hands and not jes bought from some shop. Now its our girlfriends and closest friends who give us stuff. But still we notice that girls still get loads of presents each year on their b’days. Is it cos guys wanna win em over and are trying to sugar coat their relationship with the girl? Or do guys find it weird to give other guys presents even if it’s a friend? Or are b’days jes forgotten? Or are we growing more and more religious and in an age where giving presents and wishes on b’days are considered acts against our religion(highly unlikely since we are really poor examples of muslims). I seriously don’t believe that and im totally against NOT celebrating our b’days. Yea, I know its not a good thing if we celebrate b’days with HUGE D’Js where both sex mix together, dance together like hell, drink all sorts of drinks(meaning alcohol) and end up taking a girl home or any other place for a lil …erhm erhm.
But is it really wrong to celebrate the day u were born into this world after leaving ‘the womb’?

Cant we be grateful and thankful that we have been alive for that long? Whats so wrong about inviting over some friends and relatives and having a get together? Nowadays its not easy to have get togethers. All of our friends will be working in all diff offices and its gonna be hard to meet em all together. But a b’day would be the perfect occasion. Now ive strayed way out of the topic too haven’t i? hehe. Neways before I would tell myself that since girls don’t get any money its almost impossible for them to give away gifts like us guys do. But now that they’ve finished studies and are working its still the same. Some of em even get higher salaries than us. Still it’s the guy who has to do all the expenses. Even if its going out on a date it’s the same. When asked what they really do with all the money, most of em say that they use it on dresses, make up, jewelry, shoes etc. Even if its a phone conversation its the same. its the guy who has to do the calling. some ppl even give miss calls to pre-paids even when they themselves are having post-paids. But I do stress that there are still some very wonderful girls out there who go to all different lengths not to be like that. But girls like that are really rare. And yea, I know I know. I got loads of presents on my last b’day too but jes saying it cos ive seen it happen to lots of guys.
