Centrepiece suxd
No offence to everyone involved in the making of it, but it suxd. maybe since we went to it last night or maybe we've jes grown old to not find most of the stuff that was supposed to be funny, not funny.(basically meaning its our prob). The humour suxed and there was too much resemblance to the events and plays of previous centrepiece ones.
For the first drama there was this thing where the guy sleeps in the middle of two prayers(maqrib n ishaa), and he has a dream. ???? WTF????!! even primary school kids could do a better story at it. it was the worse drama i had ever seen in my entire life.(no offence to the ppl who brought it up)
The dances, hmmmmm, some of em were ok. nothin extraordinary, but ill give credit to the michael jackson one and to the one where the girls are dressed as devils?? u get the pic. we really enjoyed maa's and hassaan's team which brought up that music piece. the sound was superb. it was awesome. and that song mix one(lava set) was good too. The band suxd. vocals were terrible. all they did was give a bad name to Beatles and Bob dylan. But i heard that the band that played on friday night was really good.
The drama about foolhu dhigu handi was good i must say. but the prob was that it resembled too much to a previous centrepiece drama on 2003. too much resemblance.
One other thing. there were more than one ticket sold on some seats. we encountered two such groups which had the same problem. two groups of ppl came with tickets to the same seats. how can that happen. they justified it by saying that it was a simple mistake on their side. that they had sold more tickets by mistake. met another group in there which encountered the same problem. i dont think there should be any room for mistakes like that. i mean jes how difficult can it be? we've done it when we were in chse as well. when someone comes to buy tickets, u jes look at the available seats and mark the ones that have been sold. a 6yr old can do that. mistakes can be made i understand that but so many SIMPLE mistakes? i dont think so.
So overall, there were some really good items but majority suxd. its jes an opinion of someone who'd been to 4 centrepiece shows held on 2001,2003,2005 and 2007. and the shows have gotten worse and worse as the years have passed. some students say that their restrictions when making the shows have grown tighter. maybe thats why.

i went to last yrs centrepiece and i've probably voiced the opinion that the previous centrepiece was far better. :P
I was going to bomb it but there were so many cute girls there I just ran.

Well, the more restrictions; the more its going to suck. I feel for those poor kids...
