If you could know, wud u?

"There was a survey once. A 1000 people were asked if they could know in advance whether if they want to know the precise date of their death. 96% of them said 'No'.
I always kind of leaned towards the other 4%. I thought it would be liberating knowing how much you had left to work with. It turned out....its NOT!"

@velvy: you know i have shutter with me and since u havent come to get it these past MONTHS, it jes means u rnt interested in watching it. :p

@calli pix: ive herd something like that but not FORTY days. i dont believe that at all. Not to be sounding all religious and all but even prophets didnt know their date of death until their time was right around the corner. yea, those ppl whom u said that 40day thing happened mightve had a feeling their time was drawing near but who knows how many of that had happened before. but i do believe that they might know their time was short a day or two earier but definitely not 40days.

@lavender:refer to the above comment

@grysko: yea, i remember that one. heheh. i actually burst out a laughter when i herd that quote. hehe. awesome movie

@mini: refer to the comment to calli pix. and tell me. how do u know that ur cuz knew? and what did he/she do when he/she found out. sorry but i dont believe that. like i said before even prophets didnt know in THAT advance. so what did these refered ppl(god bless them all) do that was so special? n like i said before i believe that they mighthave had a feeling their time was short and knew they would die a day or two later. cos i herd that even my grandma a day before her death went around visiting all family members and friends one after the other which everyone thought was a bit weird. seems she even went to meet the woman(my loving dhon maama) who grandpa married after her and talked to her with a smile on her face. she passed away later that day.

@konchekey: if it turns out to be wrong wouldnt it mean that u didnt know in the first place or that u were lied to or fooled?

well, i think that knowledge would drive a man mad, honestly. you'd think you can get the good stuff done in time, but you'd be too busy counting down that you'd lose all focus...

id rather not be a ticking bomb. id be one of those silent ones that explodes killing loads of people...

if i knew the time of my death for 100%
that means i cannot die before that right
u see where im goin with it
in reality theres no way of knowing precise time of ur death
so its kinda like asking if u want a super power aint it

everyones gotta face thir mortality at some point
its better to face the cold hard truth than to live in denial

i met a girl in last week in university hospital... she is a ticking bomb. do you know what she told me when i talked to her... the worst thing about knowing that you have exactly two years to live means that you have to digest the fact that there are so many things that you cant or see. she specifically mentioned utopia and her marriage.
she believes she will be reincarnated as a girl again

I wouldn't want to know either. I'd rather live everyday as if it were my last. That's the beauty of the human existence. Unpredictability
