Sunshine and rainbows
"You used to fit in the middle of your parent's palms. Your parents would hold you up and say that ur gonna be the best kid in the world. Someone better than anyone ever knew. Then you grow up good and wonderful. It was great for your parents to watch you everyday, it was a priviledge. Then the time comes for you to be your own person and take on the world.
But most of the time somewhere along the line, you changed. You stopped being you. You let ppl stick a finger in your face and tell you were no good. And when things got hard, you started to look for something to blame like a big shadow.
Let me tell you something you already know. The world aint all sunshine and rainbows. Its a very mean and nasty place and i dont care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it aint about how hard you hit. Its about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. Now if you know waht you're worth, go out and get what you're worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hits and not pointing fingers saying you arent where you wanna be because of him or her or anybody. Cowards do that. And i know you arent a coward. You're better than that."
