There it was again yesterday. yet another suicide. whats maldives coming to. and a young guy of jes 28yrs who was rich too. wonder what goes thru their minds at their last moments. and wonder what drives them towards it. love? realtionships? depressions? and jes a few days back or so a guy jumped off central right after a phone call. something needs to be done to help these ppl. some kinda investigation o sumthing to find what drives them to this and to prevent more suicides.
and one other thing that went thru my mind. R we sure that they have commited suicide or if someone jes made it look that way. is investigation done that thoroughly? i dont know. it jes doesnt make any sense to me at all. who gets to be blamed? parents? society? teachers? friends? each plays its own part in it i guess. in my opinion especially friends and parents. these are moments where i wish AGAIN that we be taught religion more harshly in our society(NOT extreme). in my opinion if those ppl were even taught the basics they wouldnt go so far as to commit suicides.
And in my opinion all of them are jes wimps who are trying to take the easy way out of life and their troubles. there are ppl who are going thru much more hardship or troubles and still they dont commit suicide to wimp out of them. but these ppl......arrrrgh. dhen neynge. And dont u be givin me that b***sh** about its not their fault and that we cant judge them. that we cant kknow what they went thru. SOmething needs to be done about this. atleast a help line or something like in other countries.a line that ppl call when they have a need to commit suicide. heard that it has worked alot. :s

so agree we need like a hotline for troubled people to call or whenever they are depressed. There is not support structure, this society is so judgmental even for the little meaningless things, i am not surprised suicides are happening and young people turn to drugs to drown their woes.
At first it was very disturbing about the suicide thingy...but the more i read it got more disturbing because of you using this word "jes…… jes….. jes….."

i am suicidal and yeah i have prev failed all my attempts shit... i knw hw these people wud feel... i guess a hotline cant help the person if they are really into suicide then they wud kill themselves they cant think of hotlines but it wud save sumppl though!

It's because of people like you who judge without examining the circumstances, that build an unhealthy society like ours where more and more people turn to suicide. In your mind, you have already labeled people with suicidal tendencies as "wimps", how can someone like you help such a person?
You advocate the teaching of firmer religious fundamentals. Aanu, for you religion maybe the unshakable pillar, but for many of us, the fear of god isn't as strong. God is not as immediate as an injustice thats happening in the present. No matter how harshly religion is taught, suicide will always occur in a society riddled with social injustices.
Have you ever stopped to consider that people who commit suicide are actually brave? when you think of killing yourself, what is the first thing that comes to your mind? For me, I am fearful of pain, fearful of the unknown, fearful of giving up everything I have. The decision to end a life is not easy. People who commit suicides have transcended the normal sphere of feelings and thoughts. I am not advocating suicide, I am just saying they are not "wimps", they are victims and with a mindset like yours, we will never solve these problems. If I had suicidal tendencies, you would be the last person I would talk to, for the fear of being labeled a "wimp", and because you would advocate faith in a god that I may not necessarily believe in.

So jes for the argument's sake, wouldnt that mean murderers, rapists etc who has transcended the normal sphere of feelings and thoughts are the bravest of them all? and im NOT tryin got put the suicidees on the same level as murderers.

And i never meant that the ONLY way we can stop ppl from killing themselves is to teach them religion. but its a start. atleast its something that can be done to stop ppl from commiting suicides.
And i still believe that those ppl who commit suicides are wimps. if they wanna be brave or wanna transcend or whatever there are better things to do than commit suicide. 'I' believe that its alot braver if the guy faces all those problems in his life that drove him to that extent and actually get thru them without killing himself. dont u agree?and i still dont understand what he wishes to ACHIEVE by killing himself. have they even thought what would happen to their families, relatives and friends if they were to die? what THEY would go thru? and thats what makes me believe that they are really 'wimps' who are selfish enough to run away from their troubles and worries...to end them all without actually facing them.

Maldives needs a better forensic examinations...who knows...the person might be murdered…..and yes we need a better institute to deal with ppl with issues….any way I believe every individual shud hav the right to end his/her’s life(understanding any consciences it may cause)….which they were not given when they existed on this earth.

The way I see it, being taught harsher religion wont really make much of a difference.Cmon, we all know its wrong,whether we're religious or not..its one of the basics...like having to pray 5 times a day..but how many people actually do that? And yea, parents and friends and society contribute alot to what eventually drives those people over the edge, but in my opinion,its upto urself to decide what breaks u.But I agree with u, society needs to seriusly do something..because if male' goes on this way, it wont be long before we turn to into a mini america(and look how fucked up they are)
