Time to temporarily stop drinking, having sex and remember that ur a muslim.
well, its here again. the month where muslims get reminded to which religion they belong to. time to temporarily stop all the drinking, all the sex and TRY to fast. well, this is the truth of most muslims now aint it? not a single prayer the whole of the year and as soon as ramadan arrives its time to START. i guess its atleast better that it DOES happen for one month a year than not happening at all. and ofcourse we DO encounter those sneaky bastards who claim to be fasting but the minute everyone is out of sight consumes some food item. i guess its more common in the islands where they can actually go in groups to the woods with a loaf of break and some canned tuna. *whistle whislte* hehe.
something we witness each year during ramadan. fist 10days, mosques overloaded. second 10days, ppl reduced by half and final 10days a 50% increase. wonder if we're gonna witness the same thing this time.
And jes imagine all those guys who'se only been married for a few months or years. after breaking the fast they will have to apparently go to 'sleep' since they didnt sleep the previous night or so what they say. heheh. come on ppl, we know what its abt, no need for all those xcuses jes go for it. ;) uve waited a whole day anyway.
Mustnt forget. the parteys are once again at it to show that ramadan is the best month for theft. out of the 12months in each year, it now seems that ramadan is the month where the biggest robberies are happening. best month for prayers as well as the best month for theft :). wont be surprised if those guys fast and pray as well. lol. i guess maldives surely has upheld the saying "monkey see, monkey do" to a new level when it comes to religion.
But something that i didnt expect to see here. we've got a small mosque here where all the diff muslims(even if i say all its just about 40ppl) from different countries gather for friday prayers. thats when the mosque would be full(yea, small mosque). but when ramadan started the mosque is full every night for 'tharaaveeh' prayers. thats about at 20:15 by which time its freezing cold outside. but still all these ppl make it there. that sure was a surprise. so i guess its not all hopeless. hope it lasts till the end of ramadan.
"At night when its all dark, even if only one candle is burning it seems so bright and seems like so much around it is lit". ill leave the interpretation to you.

thee ey mini geves vaahaka akee!
hehe
didnt xpect to see u here.hehe. yea, and i heard that the parteys have started their ruitine as well. and once again very CONVENIETLY the police doesnt seem to be able to do anything abt it. even last year a group that had been caught for doing one robbery was let go and a few days later did it again. and all of that in the same month. makes u wonder why they even bother catching them in the first place if they're gonna be let go to do it again in a few days. :s
yeah i agree with u kaiza.. the other night some parteys were taken from my neighborhood and word was that they were caught with the "stuff" and guess what?? they were back on the road next evening!
yea, thats the harsh truth dho. but they keep on telling jes how much they try to stop drugs and us stupid maldivians believe it. i ran into an incident where cops came to my workplace one day and caught one of the guys with 3 bullets. they took him away but a week later i met him on the streets and he said they had let him go few days back. this is the state we are in. and then we say jes how unsafe male'is now.
Lolz...
And there are those dudes pieceh jeebah lain namaadhah dhaa.
Which is just disrespectful... no need to inflitrate the prayer space na...
Kekkeke
Dudes do seem to get over horny though.. especially the magumathee foshey types..
Kekeke :)
just a question
i noticed that you quite often talks about sex, drinking drugs, and mostly include family and friends in it. it has given me an impression that you dislike your friends and family for that, or you envy them.
your blog is rather full of rantings about girls, your drinking friends and religion and how it becomes an obstacle between you and a life u certainly wish you have. it also has given me an idea that your religion is quite strict and frightening and you people live in fear and threatened all the time. sorry if i am wrong.
@thom: yea, so true so true. heheh. they could always jes stay at home or atleast hide the stuff before comin.hehe
@c.bob: sigh. here we go again. i talk abt stuff on the blog in relation to stuff i learn of, hear or jes random stuff that comes to mind. my views of it. referring to the heading my "babblings". its not like i make an agenda as to what topics im gonna write on for each week or so.
i dont like my friends and family? hehe. ill make it simple for u since uve made such a silly statement. theres a HUGE line between disliking people and not agreeing with some of their actions as we all think differently. i dunno abt u, but even if a friend of mine or relative does something which i dont agree with, ill say it(even face to face) followed by why i dont agree. that does not mean i hate or dislike them. or are u saying that u always completely agree with everything ur friends and relatives say or do? atleast u think that would be an obstacle to a life one wishes to have. but then again here u are complaining abt some guy's babblings on his blog and making bold statements and assumptions based on it :) oh god, i cant believe im actually explaining all this. but then again u had to ask.
and lastly YES! our religion is pretty strict.....to someone who might want to go around having random sex, drinking alcohol, burglaries, child abuse, homosexuals, corruption, murder, a person who loves pork, ppl against fasting, ppl against praying and being grateful to a benefactor five times a day etc etc. i hope u see the point i was making there. and i also hope that answered ur "just a Question". and im sorry if that might have sound rude or disrespectful as that wasnt my intention. happy ramadan :)
No.
For me, this is the time to step back, and relax and work on my weed farm.
(Lol sarcasm)
