GRRRRR

Damn i was so pissed off last night. actually had an outburst too which was so not me. and that too on the streets

i was coming back from work on my bike and was in a small but not narrow road (there was a pavement on the left side on which two ppl could walk on). i came to a halt behind a taxi which was unable to move forward and was going very slowly. there was a woman wearing a veil who looked like she was in her 20s. she was holding the hand of a small child who was just about two and a half feet tall with her right hand. and to her left side there was a guy who looked like her bf. she was lost in a conversation with him. the guy was just on the edge of the pavement which wasnt crowded at all. they didnt even bother to get on the pavement and the woman didnt bother to atleast bring the little girl onto the pavement. where they were standing the child was right infront of the taxi. traffic had started to jam up behind me

it took me 10 seconds of this to make me start banging on the horn and i yelled out at her "Balaaennu! Thi kuda kujjaage athunves dhookohlaafa echchakah aruvaalanvee ennu". i only realised it after i had said it. but to my surprise everyone behind me started banging on their horns too and i could hear some of them say "dhogeh vaa nooney". then the guy next to me who also looked like he was going home after work said "eheree ey ulhey vaththaru. rahummehves nethennu. adhi burugaaves alhaigenney ehury" to which i replied "burugaa alhaigen vaki sahalu meeheh ulheytha. adhi maa nubai".

But the most stunning thing was that the guy and his beloved didnt even budge. they were too busy in their conversation. and to make matters worse she got on to the pavement which made us think her brain had finally started working and just like that stopped and crossed the road almost crashing the child into that taxi.
god i hate that. ppl who walk with little children keeping them on the road and them walking on the pavement or next to the wall. we see so many parents like that each day. i cant even keep a girl whom im walking with towards the road. and to think these ppl dont think twice to do it to a little kid. its common for cars and motorbikes to accidently bump into a pedestrian here in Male'. the place is packed. even now there are traffic jams everyday. In like 10yrs time ppl who walk will probably get to their destinations faster than the ppl driving.

well, i dont think the question of buruga matters here. nothing really wrong with a buruga girl talking to a guy on the pavement BUT wat matters here is ignoring the kid's safety. & being unconcerned with the inconvenience they were causing to traffic. its just terrible that one would even think of keeping the kid on the other side of the wall

either they are so in love that they cant see a thing around them or they are just plain stupid :-)
