Ive had the documentary ‘Virgin Trade’ for some time now. its about the prostitutes in thailand. But finally last night I watched it and just felt like writing about it. Been a long time since ive really wanted to write about something. Please don’t mind the mistakes. Cant bother correcting em all and to make sure its in CORRECT ENGLISH. and it was too damn looong. ekamakuves here goes.

Ive witnessed some of the stuff that’s mentioned in it. Used to work on a ship as a deck officer and our ship used to go to Thailand once every 3months or so. Let me just tell you how the ppl on our ship are like. Most of them are really hard working, married and a father of 2-3kids and some quite religious.

When the ship sets sail towards Thailand, ull see that most of them would shave off their beards and moustaches and the smell of perfume will surround them. By the time the pilot boards the vessel, u can see that most of the crew will be near the gangway(the place for boarding the ship). A small vessel or two can be seen near our ship filled with women in shorts and tops coated in makeup. The minute the anchor is dropped, the gangway will be lowered and all the women/prostitutes would start boarding the ship. All the crew that’s assembled at the gangway would each take a girl of their liking and quickly take her to their rooms. Its like the ppl who come first gets to pick the best ones. Some start shagging right away while others just hang out with them as if they are with their wives the whole day.

The rates for these sex machines differ from each prostitute. The higher the demand for a certain girl, the higher her price(usually determined from how far away she is from having lost her virginity). For ‘short-time’(she just has sex with u and the min ur done, that’s the end of ur contract with her) the price ranges from US$15-20. BJs and so for $10.sometimes even for $5. If ur taking her for the whole day its usually $25-30 during which time she’ll be just like ur wife. She’ll cook for you, clean ur room and even iron ur clothes. And if ur lucky or good in bed you may even get to have sex with her for 3-4times a day. So usually ppl take them for the whole day. People rarely take them for the whole trip since girls will be boarding the ship everyday and you might come across someone whom you like better.

Usually there will be a group specified for each ship. There will be a ‘mammaasaa’(a woman boss) incharge of that certain group of girls. They all work together. Mammaasaa looks after them and their meals. She’ll even market the girls by talking with the ship’s crew. The girls have to pay her half of what they get. But then there are solo workers who come aboard by mini launches who feed themselves from what the mammaasaa group cooks. Some of the crew would pay the girls AND even get them food to eat.

Its like this. Most of the crew would pray regularly, do sunnah prayers, give good advice ,engage themselves in religious talks and as soon as they are in Thailand they’ll regularly drink alcohol and have sex. U’ll be surprised as to how much a person changes when they are in Thailand and when they are out. That’s the reason why I always say that I’d believe in the faith of a Maldivian only AFTER ive seen how they are when they are outside Maldives. When they actually DO have a free ticket to commit all the sins they can without their friends and family knowing about it. Ive met so many ppl who are all talk but becomes surprisingly weak when they come face to face with these things.

There are so many crew who are determined not to have sex and will keep on telling just how much money they NEED to stop wasting money etc etc. but the minute a girl approaches them, they give in. and as soon as we depart Thailand they’ll go back to complaining just how much money they’ve wasted. The funny part is none of their wives or family knows about this. Its like all those women and relatives trust them so much. Ive even met some of the wives and relatives and when the topic of Thailand comes up they would all believe that their husbands would be loyal to them also believing that most of the other crew aren’t loyal to their wives.

Its not so hard for me to believe. I mean I can see just how much they change. These are all good people who love and treat their family so well. There are ppl who actually save for three months from all the extra money they get while sending their full basic salary home to their wives just so that they could have sex in Thailand. Plus they buy lots of sound systems etc from Thailand and take it all back and sell for twice the actual price. This way they get to cover for the wasted money AND sometimes even get a profit out of the trip. And their wives cant even tell the difference since there aren’t any problems with their husbands or cases where the husband starts neglecting the wife once he has started having sex with the prostitutes when he is in Thailand. As if there is this whole different person living inside everyone who doesn’t let the wife and kids see that side. As if they’ve accepted the fact that they cant stop cheating on their wives and decided to live these two separate lives.

Some of the crew would go to land to party. They’d go to disco’s and pick up 18year old hot college girls, have sex with them and then come back to the ship. Sometimes they even bring some of the girls back to he ship for the night.Since its easy money these college girls just sleeps around and live a wealthy life without their parents finding out

Some ppl blame the commercial world for all this. Afterall it’s the age of laptops, computers, mobile phones etc. and all these girls are craving so much to have stuff of their own which their parents are unfortunately unable to afford. Then the foreigners pop up with all their cash and offers to pay them their parent’s monthly salary in just one night. Most of these foreigners are just average ppl in their countries but feels like kings and movie stars once they arrive in Thailand.
